Favorite Fall Lifestyle Products

Wow I can not believe November is coming to an end. Both October and November went by super fast. I am not complaining because I am super excited for December! It’s bittersweet to think 2018 is soon coming to an end. I went home for Thanksgiving and even got a week to myself in my apartment without my roommates. During these breaks, I have been self reflecting and enjoying the small things. Today I wanted to share some lifestyle products that I have been using this fall. This is my last blog post dedicated to fall. Check out my other fall blog posts at the end of this post! In December I will be doing even more. Stay Tuned!!
Bath Bomb

After a long day walking to my classes in the cold weather, then going to work at night, I like to come back home and run myself a nice, hot bath. I will add bubbles and a bath bomb to my bath. This is so relaxing. It’s freezing outside and when I get home all I want to do is stay warm. I love bath bomb because when I’m taking my bath, I go into my own world, forgetting everything. Once in a while it is nice to do this. Sometimes bath bombs can be over hyped, but I will say that I enjoy using bath bombs and I tend to do them at least once or twice every two weeks. I typically get my bath bombs from Target or Walmart. Occasionally I will get from a local small company.

Face/ Sleeping/Foot Mask

My skin gets very dry during the cold months. I have to make sure I am doing my skincare routine day and night. A times I slip up and may be running late to class or may feel too tired and I end up not properly completing my skincare routine. When this happens, I always make time to follow up with a mask. Face mask are essential in restoring your skin and meeting skincare concerns. I also love to do face mask if I am having a girls night or I will even do one with my boyfriend. Face mask help your skin but are also a fun thing to do. I get my face mask from Target or Walmart. I love doing foot mask from Sephora. I was really shocked by how good the foot mask work. Definitely recommend!

I love lighting a candle while I’m relaxing. The smell puts me in a mood and I get so much done. You can never go wrong with a good smelling candle. Now candles are used at all times of the year. This reason I have it on my list is because of the fall scents that only come out during this time of the year. I love fall scents such as pumpkin, chestnut, cinnamon, autumn harvest, and ginger. You can really find candles anywhere. They also make great gifts.

Caramel & Cheddar Popcorn

A sweet treat I love to have is flavored popcorn. During the fall-winter months Chicago Style Popcorn is everywhere. For those who do not know what Chicago Style Popcorn is; think of a sweet and salty snack combination containing a mixture of caramel popcorn and cheddar popcorn. This popcorn is so good that you can even give it as a gift. I have seen this popcorn in vendors in the mall, at the grocery store, local events, and there might be a store in your area that is dedicated to making Chicago Style Popcorn. It’s so good!

Favorite Fall Lip Colors

Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb in Fenty Glow- I was really hesitant at first to try this lip product. I normally only wear lipsticks and hardly wear lip gloss. I am not a fan of the stickiness that a lip gloss has. However, this lip product is a universal product. Meaning it is for everyone: any skin type or any skin tone. Since this is for everyone, I knew it had to be an overall good product. I decided to try and I love this lip gloss. This color is perfect for a fall because it is so natural but also a shine and sparkle to it. The lip product is perfect for any occasion and any outfit. I can wear it just to the gym and even wear it to a nice dinner. I would definitely agree that it is very versatile and would look great on anyone!

MAC Lipstick in Whirl– This is my everyday lip product. It goes great with every outfit and matches well with any skin tone. I love wearing this color in the fall because it is so natural and the burnt, rosey color pairs beautifully with my fall outfits. The formula is very creamy and slides right on. This lipstick is very  buildable and can be formulated to how you like. The lipstick is so good, there is no need for a lipliner. However, MAC does have a lipliner in this color as well. I have never gotten so many compliments from one product before. Definitely recommend!

NARS Lip Pencil in Cruella– This is my all time favorite red lip product. I do not normally wear the color red on my lips. I’ll wear a red lip on a special occasion or with a simple outfit to add a pop of color. My go to outfit in the fall is a black sweater, black jeans, black leather jacket, black boots, and this lovely red lip. Red goes so well with black and is a staple for the fall.  One thing I have noticed with red lip products is the they can be really messy. The NARS lip pencil is not messy at all. I am one to put on my makeup and not really take my time with it. I have a busy schedule so I have no time to make sure my lip product is applied perfect. With the lip pencil I can just easily put it on. It slides onto my lips with a perfect matte finish.

Buxom Lipstick in Vampy Plum-Venturing out with lip colors is something I do not do so often. I tend to use my everyday shades or get neutral colors. Besides the NARS red lip pencil, I use this purplish lip color. It’s a little hard to see the true purple color, however, this shade is beautiful on. Only con I have about the product, is its design. The lipstick is very big. At times when you apply it on the lips, it can get messy. However, the touch this lip product adds to the makeup look is worth it! The color is beautiful for the fall. I am already planning to wear this lip color with a black satin dress and black heels. The vampy plum color will pair well with the black while giving color to the look.

Colourpop Fab Five Lippie Stick- This was a limited edition lippie stick. I was very excited to get this lip product. The color will be perfect for the upcoming fall/winter months. I only have 1 other Colourpop lippie stick compared to 10 liquid lipsticks. I have been wanting another one for the longest. I honestly prefer the lippie sticks over the liquid lipsticks. I love this maroon/burgundy lip color. This lip color would look good on some many skin tones. This is one reason that I love Colourpop. They cater to all skin tones, not just a few. I would definitely recommend trying out this color for the upcoming season change.

Fall Wardrobe Basics You Need

I am so excited about today’s post. Today I wanted to not only share some fall clothing essentials that I have, but also I am going to link some items below for everyone to check out. I know sometimes while I am reading a blog post, I really want to see where the blogger gets their items from and also what the items look like. I know I’m not the only one who wishes people would provide links. I decided to provide links for items I have and items I want to purchase. Hopefully this helps everyone! The weather where I live has been very rainy and windy. Having these fall essentials during this weather is perfect. Also so many events are going on that now I have some ideas on items I need to get!

Denim Jacket

Last fall I wore my denim jacket almost everyday. It was an essential in my closet that I would literally wear with any outfit. The denim jacket I have is a medium, blue wash. I found I could easily pair it with black jeans, dark blue jeans, and even leggings. For this year’s fall, I want to get a black denim jacket. I currently have a denim jacket from Forever 21  that is a bit oversized. I love the oversize feel but sometimes I wish I had a fitted denim jacket. Getting a fitted denim jacket is on my list to get this fall. I feel like denim jackets will always be in style! You can never really go wrong with a denim jackets, or have too many!

Leather Jacket

A leather jacket is also a must have. I found that when I dressed up, I wouldn’t grab my denim jacket, I would grab my leather jacket. Leather jackets go great with a more nicer outfit, but they too can go with a pair of jeans and leggings. The leather jacket I currently wear was a little over $100 (Express Leather Jacket ). However, jackets are a clothing item that you can invest in and wear for many years.  Leather jackets are bit more expensive than denim jackets, however you can find good quality leather jackets for a good price. Check out the links of good quality leather jackets.

Black/Brown Boots

Everyone needs at least one good pair of black and brown boots. It does not matter if they are short, tall, combat, suede, or velvet. I tend to have more black boots than brown. This fall I am trying to not buy anymore black shoes but instead getting more brown and tan colored. These colors are essential because you can pair any other color with these! Buy a couple of pairs of good shoes that you can style with many different colored tops. I would also say invest in your shoes. Buy a pair that you know can  last for a couple of years, not just for the current year.

Cozy Neutral Colored Sweater

When fall comes its time to bring out sweaters. I love sweater so much. The warm cozy feeling reminds me every time I’m wearing a sweater that is really is fall. My staple pieces include neutral colored sweaters. Colors like black, gray, brown, and pink are colors I can wear with almost anything. I usually will pair a sweater with a jacket, jeans, a scarf, and some booties.  Even if I am lounging around the house, I like to wear cozy sweaters. Some good places I like to buy my sweaters from are Old Navy, Target, Forever 21, and TJ Maxx.

So many people forget this essential. I understand it depends on where you live. Some places rain all the time and other places not so often. Where I live, the weather is forever changing. One day it can be sunny and warm outside and the next day it is pouring down raining. I have found that I should always carry an umbrella with me just to be safe. My worse fear is having to go somewhere important and on my way get rained on causing my hair to mess up and even my makeup. Hurricane season is slowly coming to an end but it rains year round. You can get an umbrella from anywhere. However, I have found that a good quality umbrella last for a while and holds up against heavy rain. I currently own the Coach Signature Mini Umbrella. Even though the price is a little bit more pricey, I love the umbrella so much and have found it great use.

Top Fall Essential – Diffuser & Essential Oils

Happy Fall Everyone! Hope everything is perfect and you are enjoying the weather. I tend to spend a lot of money when it comes to the fall and winter months. I see so many items that I feel I need to have in my life. This time of the year is my favorite. My boyfriend first introduced me to the idea of essential oils. He has a diffuser in his room and would mix different oil scents and I would notice the smell every time I walked in. Sometimes I would go over just so I could use the diffuser myself 😉 The next couple of days, he bought me a diffuser! I was so happy. I bought the essentials oils myself and every since, I have been using everyday. These are perfect gifts for the upcoming holidays! The diffuser & essentials oils have become my favorite fall essential!

The diffuser I have is from Amazon. Check out the link HERE

There are many different diffusers out there. Most diffusers tend to perform the same functions. The most noticeable difference between diffusers is the time control. My diffuser runs for 3 hours while my boyfriend has one that runs for 4 hours and another that runs for 12 hours. Besides the time control, another difference is the actual size of the diffuser. The diffuser I have is a sphere/bowl based. Some diffusers are wider and some may be taller. The ArtNaturals Diffuser lights up with 7 different colors and has an adjustable mist mode. The diffuser is very easy to use and very easy to add my oils.

I use the diffuser for many reasons. During the day if I am doing homework, I run my diffuser with calming oils to help me stay focused. If I am upset, sad, or going through something, I will have the diffuser on while I am relaxing. At night I sleep with my diffuser on. I have found it is easier for me to fall asleep and helps me to stay asleep during the entire night. The ArtNaturals diffuser creates a mist that is very suitable for an aromatherapeutic environment. No heat is applied to the oil, keeping essential oil’s healing properties intact. Many will use a diffuser to unwind, boost their mood, focus, and to maintain their health. Overall the diffuser can be used for a lot of reasons, however, it is the essential oils that promotes the benefits.

The essential oils  I have are from Amazon. Check out the link HERE

Finding which diffuser I wanted was very easy. However, the hard part was finding which essential oils I wanted. There are literally so many essential oil sets to choose from. The set I chose includes eight individual 10 mL bottles of pure, premium grade essential oils: lavender, eucalyptus, cinnamon, frankincense, clove, rosemary, peppermint and lemon. I love every single scent! Each scent offers many benefits. The oils can be combined together. I typically will mix 3 different scents each time I use the diffuser. My go to scents are lemon and lavender. I can mix any other oil with these two scents to create a perfect balance.

IMG_6834Benefits Of the Scents:
Lavender: Universal oil. Calming, skin health and recovery, flavoring, etc
Peppermint: Wonderful for digestive/respiratory function, energy, cooling, etc
Eucalyptus: Supports healthy respiration, skin, cleansing, etc
Rosemary: Promotes healthy digestion, respiratory function, healthy hair/scalp, etc
Lemon: For increasing energy, digestive and respiratory support, cleaning, etc
Cinnamon: Supports metabolic function, oral health, cleaning, etc
Frankincense: Supports healthy cellular health, skin, emotions, etc
Clove: Promotes cardiovascular health, oral health, immune health, etc

Fun Fall Weekend in My Life

Happy Fall Everyone! As October is ending and November is approaching, the season has been treating me well. During the next couple of months, I mentioned I wanted to do blog post centered around the Fall/ Winter months. Continuing with today’s post, I am sharing a weekend where I was able to enjoy the fall weather and have some fun! Keep reading to see the fall activities I did during the weekend!

Pumpkin Patch

I rememeber it was during September and I told myself I have to go to a pumpkin patch this year! October rolls around and I am searching for the nearest pumpkin patch. I found one and  knew I had to go! I don’t remember the last time I went to a pumpkin patch. Surprisingly, there’s none where I live. It was a Friday afternoon, my sister, my mom, and I spent a couple of hours at the pumpkin patch. We were little big kids today :)! There were games, hay ride, and pumpkin picking. There was an array of pumpkins to choose from. My sister and I ended up getting little cute, white pumpkins. We had intentions to get an orange pumpkin, but once we saw the white pumpkins, we knew we had to get them. It was a fun afternoon hanging out with my mom and sister. The weather was perfect and we ended up painting our pumpkins when we got home.

Fall has been treating me right so far! I have been doing so much fun things! My boyfriend and I have been trying to go to the zoo for the longest. It’s either one of us is busy, the weather is bad, or we just want to stay in bed all day. Finally after months of trying to go, we were able to. The weather wasn’t as beautiful and warm like when I went to the pumpkin patch. It had rain earlier that morning and was humid. We braced ourselves just incase it was going to rain. Luckily it didn’t!

When we first walked through the gates, there was an exhibit of flamingos. Within 5 minutes being at the zoo, I was in love. My boyfriend and I were both very excited to see lions. When we got to the part of the zoo where the lions were, they were asleep. Real bummer, but the lions were huge. Although I am very scared of snakes, I was very interested every time we would see one. I love the different patterns of their skin. I enjoyed myself so much at the zoo. It was a nice afternoon with my boyfriend.

Ice Cream & Smores

My fall weekend has been amazing! Being surround with my family and my boyfriend makes me very happy. I have been super busy with school and it is nice to spend a weekend doing fun activities to take my mind off of all the work I have. Closing up my weekend, I had a sweet tooth. My sister, my mom, and me made smores! Making smores is fun itself and we sit around talking while we have our sweet treat. I was also craving some ice cream. My boyfriend and I decided to make an ice cream run and pick up pint sizes of our favorite ice creams!
