Hello Fall Tag!

IMG_6594

Fall is here! My favorite time of the year has arrived. For the next couple of months, most of my blog post will be centered around fall/winter. I wanted to start off with some questions centered around fall. I hope you are able to learn more about me and get some tips and tricks on how to tackle the fall wether. Happy Fall!

Favorite Fall Candle Scent?

Anything to do with vanilla or coconut.
Coffee, Tea, or Hot Cocoa?
This is the hardest question. I love coffee & tea. Omg I have either coffee or tea a day. It would be hard to choose from. I love flavored coffee and green tea. I add 3 packets of sugar to both the coffee & tea. In the coffee I add just a little amount of milk or creamer. I use to enjoy hot cocoa but since I started drinking coffee so much I hate it.
Fall Coffee Order?
From Starbucks: I’ll get a white chocolate mocha or a caramel brulee latte.
From Dunkin: I usually get an iced caramel coffee or a caramel latte.

Favorite Eyeshadow Palettes to use for Fall?
I use my Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette year round. The palette is my all time favorite eyeshadow palette. I can make many eye looks with the palette and it is perfect for fall. A more fall centered eyeshadow palette that I use is the Morphe 35K palette. This palette is great for a smokey eye and even a simple look. I love the combination of matte and shimmery shadows in the palette.
Favorite Fall Memory?
Omg this is so hard. A lot of events happened in the fall for me. I honestly can’t choose one. I love hanging out with my family, boyfriend, and friends and we all just enjoy making memories together.
Best Fall Fragrance?
I don’t really have a favorite I just wear whatever. However, I tend to go for something warm and soft.
Favorite Thanksgiving Dish?
I love thanksgiving all together, I’d eat anything. My favorite would have to be macaroni. I know you can eat macaroni anytime of the year, however, it has always been one of my favorite foods. I love pairing it with other Thanksgiving dishes.
What is the weather like where you live?
The past week it has been raining non stop. This summer a typical day would be 85-90 degrees. I can tell fall is approaching fast because some days the weather has gotten cold really fast. Usually it may take a  couple of weeks for the weather to significantly change.
I definitely feel like this will be a cold and rainy fall & winter.
Most Worn Sweater?
My go to sweaters are black, brown, and gray. I like having neutral colored sweaters so I can pair them with another color. I’ll wear a basic sweater and pair it with a scarf, a jacket, a necklace, a hat, and colorful shoes.
Good Places to Buy Sweaters?
Old Navy, Target, Forever 21, and TJ Maxx
Football Games or Haunted Houses?
Definitely football games!!!!!!!!!!
Skinny Jeans or Leggings?
I have to have both. I probably wear jeans more often since sometimes the weather can be a bit chilly. I love wearing a long shirt and pairing it with leggings. During the fall I buy thicker leggings and dark colored jeans.
Tall boots or Combat Boots?
Tall black boots
Is pumpkin spice worth the hype?
I would say because it comes out once a year during the fall that yeah it’s worth it. If you never tried it then you should try it. I feel like it’s either a hit or miss. You either like it or not. I like it but I can’t eat or drink a lot of it.
Favorite Fall Tv Show?
TGIT- Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal & How to get away with murder
Halloween- Yay or Nay?
Yes!! I am so excited because I will either be dressing up with my boyfriend or I might do something with my roommates.
Fall Mornings or Evenings?
Evenings! I love coming home and lying in the bed, watching tv, and catching up on social media.
Do you participate in Black Friday?
The past two years I have really participated in it. I don’t really go for the deals, I just go to have fun and to see what I can find.

Thank you so much for checking out this post! Below are some of my favorite post that you may like as well!

How to Make Your Makeup Last For Hours

IMG_6501

I wear makeup to last all day. My current makeup routine uses many products that help my makeup to last for an extended amount of time. Having oily skin, I have had to find makeup products that do not make my skin look oily but also help my makeup last. Even if you do not have oily skin, these tips will help you with finding makeup products that make your makeup last. Most of these products are included in my everyday makeup routine.  Be sure to check out Current Makeup Routine.

Primer

First thing first! Primer is essential to having a good set up or base for applying your makeup. Before you apply your primer, you want to make sure you have a clean, fresh face. I complete my skincare routine before I apply my makeup. Check out my current Skincare routine. After my face is cleaned, I apply my primer. I am currently using the Fenty Beauty Primer. In the past I have used the Benefit Porefessional Primer and the Covergirl Outlast Primer. I squeeze a dime sized amount of primer onto my finger and apply it to my skin. The Fenty Beauty Primer is very hydrating and moisturizing. The primer blends into my skin nicely, setting up a base for my makeup.

Long Lasting Foundation

All of these steps are very important for helping your makeup last long. However, I have found that having a foundation that is long last is really important. All foundations have many claims. You may think your foundation is suppose to last for a set number of hours, however, not all foundations claim to. This is a simple mistake that can be easily avoided. I suggest looking for a foundation that CLAIMS to be long lasting. I am currently using the Fenty Beauty Foundation and the foundation last amazingly for 6-8 hours with needing to touch up. There are some foundations that claim to last 24 hours. Researching is very important in determining which foundation is right for you.

Setting Powder

For the past year and a half, I have been obsessed with using setting powder. I can not go a day without applying setting powder. I never miss it in my makeup routine. The only setting powder I have ever used is the Laura Mericer setting powder. I recently dedicated an entire post discussing why I love this product so much. Check it out! Setting powder is essentially used to help set your makeup, oil control, and for helping your makeup last. Having oily skin, sometimes I have to wipe or pat my face throughout the day. Even though I do this, I have found that my makeup stays on my face and still looks just as good as when I originally applied it.

Waterproof Mascara

When I first started wearing makeup, I always had to have waterproof mascara. It was a must for me. However, my current mascara is not waterproof, but there is a waterproof version of it. I currently use the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. Although it is not waterproof, it is long lasting. If you really want your mascara lasting all day, then try using a mascara that is both waterproof and long lasting. This will ensure that your makeup will last for an extended amount of time and if you have watery eyes or you touch your lashes, that your mascara will not look smudgy.

Setting Spray

Closing up, it is essential to set your face. Setting spray should be your last product you use in your routine. Setting spray helps to control shine and prevent oil, while also helping your makeup to stay in place. A good trick to use is to spray setting spray on your makeup brushes or beauty blenders. The spray then touches your foundation or concealer and is an extra step to make sure the makeup last. Setting spray can be used by anyone with dry, combination, and oily skin. I have found that drugstore and high end setting sprays both work. Just find a setting spray that meets your skin concerns.
