Target Spring Beauty Box

IMG_8673

Good Afternoon! I recently received my Target Spring Beauty Box in the mail and wanted to share with you all the items I received. This is not my first time trying the Target Beauty Box, I have had 2 other ones.  I really enjoy the beauty box because the items that  are nice size products that are worth the price. Overall the Target Beauty Box is the only beauty box that I always get. I have had other beauty box subscriptions but eventually canceled them. Although there is no subscription that you can pay for monthly or yearly to guarantee you receive, you pay for the box whenever it comes around. Keep reading to see the wonderful items from the Target Spring Beauty Box.

Packing: The beauty products arrived in a nice black box that had the Target logo on the front. The quality of the box itself is very nice. I actually use the box to hold some of my eyeshadow palettes on my vanity. Also all the products fit nicely in the box, which was surprising because there were few full sized products.

Cost: The cost varies every beauty box that Target releases. This box was $7 which was great for the products!

Items: Technically there was 8 products but one of the products was just a sample. Normally whenever I receive a beauty box, I may not use all the products given. However, in this beauty box I will use all the beauty products! One thing I like about the Target Boxes are that every product in the box can be found at a Target Store or at Target.com

Covergirl Colorlicious Lipstick– The color of the lipstick is absolutely beautiful!! I’m so in love with it. Recently I have realized that I love lipsticks more than any other lip product. The formula of lipsticks are very simple and smooth compared to a glossy wet lipgloss. The pigment of this Covergirl product is incredible! The color is similar to pink and purple mixed together! I’m so happy I have a new lipstick to add to my collection.

Hawaiian Tropic Island Sport Lotion– I have always wanted to try this brand before but I normally stick to the products I know want hurt my skin, especially when it comes to sunscreen. One thing I like about this particular sunscreen is that it is non-greasy. I have SUPER OILY skin, so finding products that won’t add to that is very important for me.

IMG_8679.JPG

Pantene AIRspray Hair Spray– On a normal basis I do not use hair spray, but on special occasions I do. I recently ran out and now I have a new one to try.  Reguarlly I use the Pantene brand shampoo and conditioner, which I like. Hopefully I will like the hair spray as much as I like the shampoo and conditioner.

IMG_8690.JPG

Marlowe Body Butter– Another item on the list that I was recently running out of and now have a replacement. Lotion is something I use everyday. Many people do not know there are differences among lotions. This lotion is  a body butter which can be used throughout the body to hydrate and moisturize the skin. I’m currently obsessed with this particular brand. I have used this body butter everyday. I love how it glides onto the skin and also how there is not a strong smell or even a smell at all.

IMG_8693.JPG

Lineage Mask– I have not yet tried my mask but from reading reviews I can tell I’ll probably love it. This mask is more on the pricey side. It claims to hydrate and moisturize your face. Overall the reviews are really good on so I’m super excited to try.

IMG_8691.JPG

Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes– I have received these wipes before in anther beauty box and I actually liked them. In my opinion all makeup wipes are the same. I can’t really tell a difference between them. I’m happy these came in the box because I use makeup wipes often. I also like the size of the pack. Easy for just throwing in my makeup bag when I’m on the go.

IMG_8678

CeraVe Healing Ointment– When I glanced over the beauty box I was super excited about this product because I am familiar with the CeraVe brand. I have heard nothing but great things about their products and actually have tried some myself. I didn’t know at first that this product was a healing cream. I’m super bummed because I was expecting something else. I’m not really sure how I’ll use it but I’ll probably find a way.

Overall I loved this beauty box. I’m amazed how many of the products were filled sized or nice samples sized products. The Target Beauty Box is by far my favorite beauty box!! Inside the box was also a coupon for $5 of any beauty, makeup, or skincare product(s) at Target. I’m super excited to go and buy some more!!

Drugstore Products: 5 under $5

IMG_8510

Going thru my makeup collection I realized how much makeup I have that is from the drugstore and I really love. My collection consist of some high end products but more drugstore products. Naturally there are high end products that just happen to be better than drugstore products but there’s also a lot of drugstore products that are better than high end. Now this post is not me choosing which products I like better, but simply my favorite drugstore products under $5 that are incredibly amazing!!!

IMG_8514.JPG

LA Girl Pro Conceal- This had to be one of 2015 top makeup products. Every youtube and blogger I watch some how incorroparted this product in their makeup routine. Although this is a concealer, many use it to contour or highlight with. I love how this product has many uses. I use this product to conceal and cover up and any acne scars or dark circles. The color I currently use is, Fawn. Fawn matches my skin color perfectly. When I make my next order, I want to get colors lighter and darker than my skin color so I can experiment and use this product in different ways.

IMG_8512.JPG

Wet N Wild Max Volume Mascara– This mascara has been featured in many of my blog post. This is my overall favorite drugstore mascara. When I first tried the mascara I wasn’t as in love as I hoped. Recently this is the only mascara I use. I find that although its purpose is for volume, I can use it to get in the corner lashes. The brush is different than any other mascara brush I have. Its very thin and has small bristles.Normally I wouldn’t grab this but do not underestimate the power it has!

IMG_8545.JPG

Wet N Wild Coloricon Brow & Eyebrow Pencil– I picked up this brow pencil with hopes of learning how to fill in my eyebrows. Overtime I didn’t like filling in my eyebrows just because my brows were already so thick. Lately I noticed if I lightly shade them in then they don’t look so dark and thick. I don’t use this everyday but maybe once in a while. Overall this is a good drugstore brow pencil and it comes in many shades.

IMG_8534.JPG

Burt’s Bees Lip Balm– Usually my lips are well moisturized but often they can start to peel and are dry. This lip balm is my go to product to recuse my lips. The lip balm comes in many flavors. I have 3 and they taste and smell so good. I like applying lip products that have a good taste and scent to them. This lip balm does not have a tint to it but there are many other products from the Burt’s Bees line that have tints to them and also help moisturize your lips.

IMG_8536.JPG

ELF Maximum Coverage Concealer– I absolutely love concealers. Sometimes it can be hard to find the right concealer just because there are so many that cater to different needs. I only use concealer to over my acne scars or undereye. I was very surprised my this elf concealer! I had another concealer from elf that was in a bottle instead of a tube. That concealer was okay but this concealer is amazing. The name says it all. It actually covers everything. Only con I have is that I wish I got a color darker, this concealer is maybe 2 shades lighter than me. Whenever I buy concealer I like it to match my skin color perfectly.

Overall these products in my opinion are the best of the best under $5. If you are in love with these products like myself, then comment below. I would love to hear. Or if you dislike any of these products please tell me below also. Thanks for reading!

MAC Cosmetics Haul

IMG_8603.JPG

Good Afternoon Everyone! I hope your day is wonderful. Recently I went to my local MAC to get my makeup done for an event. MAC has a great deal for getting your makeup done. The deal I chose was if you buy $50 worth of products, you get your makeup done for free. I was expecting to pick up a lot of products in order to fulfill my $50 but I quickly noticed I wasn’t going to be able to get a lot. Overall my makeup done my the makeup artist looked fantastic! Below are the few products I picked up.

IMG_8612.JPG

MAC Lipstick-When I got my makeup done the makeup artist used a lipstick on me that I loved and had to buy. The color I got was Spirit. The color is a pinky-beige brown. At times it looks pink but other times is blends in with my skin color resembling my natural color. I really love the formula of the lipsticks and also there long lasting effect.

IMG_8610.JPG

MAC Concealer– I have been a fan of this concealer for the longest. I love the coverage it gives. I do not use this concealer as a concealer but I use it as a foundation. It is an overall amazing product. I really wish it came in a bigger bottle since it does use up fast.

IMG_8609.JPG

MAC Lashes– I have never worn lashes before prior to getting my makeup done. I have no idea why I’ve never worn them. If you wanted lashes for your make over then you had to buy them. The lashes I picked out are #21 lash. Since this was my very first time wearing lashes, I wanted a lash that would look natural but also elegant. I absolutely loved these lashes. Only con is that they were $17 and I probably won’t ever wear them again.

I know this was a very mini and short haul. I just ordered a couple of other products from their website. When those products get here I will do an updated MAC haul.

Skincare Routine

IMG_8462.JPG

After years of searching I have finally came up with my everyday skincare routine. It has taken years of trying out all shorts of skincare products, wasting money, and buying more. I am super happy with the current routine I have because with this routine I have noticed a major difference in my skin. I can honestly say this routine has cleared my skin 95%. I still have a few blemishes of acne but nothing compared to before. I feel amazing now and I don’t shy away from talking about my skin. If you are struggling with acne and have similar skin characteristics to mine, then definitely check out these products.

Morning Routine:

IMG_8475.JPGIMG_8477

In the mornings I first wash my face with warm to hot water. I then apply the Neutrogena Rapid Clear Stubborn Acne Cleanser in circular motions around my face and neck. I let this sit for about 2 minutes then wash it off with warm to hot water. I then apply the Rapid Clear Stubborn Acne Spot Gel in circular motions around my face and neck until the gel has disappeared. Although it may sound like a gel formula, it isn’t. Its more of a lotion feel to it. After this I apply my toner onto a cotton ball and rub it over my face. The toner I use is only available at a spa near me. However, any toner would work. That concludes my morning routine. Very simple and only consisting of 3 products.

Nighttime Routine:

IMG_8478.JPGIMG_8488.JPG

This routine differs from my morning routine in which I only do this 2 times a week. I use the Neutrogena Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask. This product can be used either as a cleanser or a mask. I use it as a mask. The directions say not to exceed 2 times within a week. That is why I only use it twice. I wash my face with hot water then apply the mask all over my face until every spot is covered, so my face is completely white. I let the product sit on for 5 minutes then wash it off with warm water. I then apply the Neutrogena On The Spot Gel. Then my toner, which can be applied morning and night. Again a routine consisting of only a couple of products.

I have struggled with acne since 5th grade. Many say that my acne isn’t that serious but of course I believed that it was. I tried any and everything to rid of it. Until recently, nothing really improved my skin for a long amount of time. I honestly swear by these products!!! The best products I have ever used.

My Skin Time: My skin type varies. 90% of the time it is oily but 10% of the time it is combination. I wear my makeup for an 8 hour period and my face doesn’t get oily until the last 1 1/2 hour. So I can go a good 6 hours within feeling oily. I use an oil free foundation and makeup primer. These cleansers & moistures do not mention anything about being oil free. In my opinion the main focus of these products is not to control oily skin but to control acne. These products are not set to oily, dry, or combination so any skin type can use these products.

Price: These products can be found at any of your local drugstore.Very reasonable prices compared to the sizes. Full size products all under $10!!!! Way cheaper than the products your dermatologist will recommend. And you can always find coupons for these products.

Overall: I love these products!!!! Omg! Best products I have ever tried. I can honestly say this without a doubt. I’m not one to quickly say I love a product or swear by it but these products win. If you looking for skincare products and just haven’t found the right ones then I highly suggest these products. I hope you will experience the same effects I have.
