Tips for Beginners

1. Don’t buy high end products at first
Many females feel that high end makeup products are better than drugstore products. In some cases this is true, not all.  If you are new to makeup I suggest starting with drugstore products so you can experiment with them instead of experimenting with expensive products and wasting your money.

2. Experiment with cheap makeup
Many people do not realize how good some drugstore products really are. My favorite foundation is only $2 and I’ve had no problems with it. With drugstore products you are able to save even more money with using coupons. If you want to try something new with your makeup go to the store and buy dupes of high end makeup to test your tutorial.

3. Experiment before you go out.
Don’t  try a new look for the first time the day of. I would always try something new when I was going somewhere important. I soon realized this was a no no! Experimenting is a good thing. I normally will try the night before the idea I have in mind and see if it actually looks good.
4. Learn from your mistakes
Practice makes perfect and that rule can be applied to makeup. Practice different ideas you may have and build on them. You only get better if you learn.

5. Watch Tutorials
I absolutely love watching makeup tutorials. I have been watching them nonstop and I’ve become addicted. At first I really never understood the idea of watching someone else teach you but recently I found that it is a big help. There is probably someone on YouTube who is creating a look that you have in mind and they can help.
